Description
The Martin Baker Sea Vixen Ejector Seat is made from an original decommissioned ejector seat from de Havilland Sea Vixen.
The de Havilland Sea Vixen was a British twin-boom, twin-turbojet, two seat jet fighter used from the 1950s for the Royal Navy. The Sea Vixen is now being repaired by Navy Wings after a hydraulic failure in May 2017 that resulted in a highly controlled wheels up landing.
Navy Wings are working with DappR Aviation, giving us parts with the promise that 20% of each sale of any Navy Wings item will go back to them in the form of a charitable donation.
We have taken the ejector seat cleaned it and added a frame work of oak and steel. This gives the chair a lovely comfortable angle. The chair has also been upholstered in leather.
