The Dragon Rapide Propeller Blade Sculpture is made from an original decommissioned de Havilland DH.89 Dragon Rapide from the 1930's. The sculpture has been cleaned and sunk into a thick piece of oak at the base with a structural beam behind the propeller to support it.
The Dragon Rapide was a short-haul biplane airliner that was designed and manufactured by de Havilland; a British Aircraft company.
